What happens in a Moo Who? round?

Each match divides players into two very different jobs. Animals disappear inside groups of matching NPCs. Hunters move through the area, listen to the herd, and decide which animals sound or move like real people.

What should animal players do?

Your objective is to remain indistinguishable from the NPC herd. Stay near matching animals, copy their pace, avoid sharp player-like turns, and prepare one short sound you can repeat consistently.

Silence is not a permanent strategy. When the game demands a sound, make the assigned animal noise through your microphone. Waiting too long can attract buzzing flies, giving the hunter a much easier visual clue.

What should hunters do?

Treat every shell as a conclusion, not a test. First compare several animals, then look for two clues that agree: an unusual sound followed by a nervous movement, or repeated timing that differs from nearby NPCs.

A wrong shot wastes an opportunity. Slow observation usually creates more information than chasing the first creature that looks strange.

What should you prepare before joining?

  • Select the correct microphone in your operating system and Steam.
  • Confirm desktop apps have microphone permission.
  • Use headphones to keep game audio out of the mic.
  • Practice a short cow, chicken, pig, or sheep sound at a comfortable volume.
  • Join expecting short, chaotic rounds rather than perfect performances.

How do you improve quickly?

Play one round with a narrow goal. As an animal, focus only on matching movement. As a hunter, focus only on comparing repeated sounds. Once those baselines feel natural, combine audio, position, and reactions into a complete read.
